The EmployeeZ Digital Wallet was developed to create a seamless, in-app transaction layer that enabled users to store balance, handle refunds, and process payments within the EmployeeZ ecosystem—without needing to rely on external accounts for every interaction.

Wallet Architecture: Designed and implemented a secure, ledger-based digital wallet system that tracked user balances, payment activity, and wallet transactions
Refund Handling: Enabled instant refunds for canceled gigs or user disputes, allowing funds to be re-credited to the user’s wallet in real time
Transaction Logging: Implemented immutable transaction records for every wallet operation, ensuring full transparency and auditability
Secure Checkout Integration: Integrated with the EmployeeZ secure backend checkout process, so wallet balance could be applied as part of gig payments
Balance Notifications: Users received real-time updates when their wallet was credited or debited, enhancing trust and engagement
Partial Payments Support: Wallets could be used in combination with card payments (via Stripe) to split transaction amounts
