1. Getting Started

Welcome to DecisionLedger. The app is designed as a neutral decision journal. It records what you decided, when you decided, and why.

No Account Required

DecisionLedger does not require an account. All data is stored locally on your device.

2. Recording a Decision

Recording decisions is intentionally lightweight. The goal is accuracy, not perfection.

Add a Decision

Tap the (+) button and write what you are choosing to do. This should be clear and concrete.

Select a Type

Choose a decision type such as Strategic, Prioritization, Hiring & People, Financial, Process & Systems, Risk Tradeoff, Personal Boundary, or Other. Types enable long-term pattern analysis.

Tip: If you are thinking about a choice for more than a few minutes, it probably belongs in the ledger.

3. Context

Context is optional, but strongly recommended. It captures what you knew at the time of the decision.

This section exists to preserve truth before outcomes distort memory.

4. The Review Queue

The Review tab contains decisions that have not reached a clear outcome.

Updating an outcome automatically timestamps the decision for lifecycle analysis.

5. The Timeline

The Timeline is your complete decision history. It is a chronological ledger of your past choices.

6. Insights

Insights transform your ledger into evidence.

Free users see basic insights. Pro unlocks long-horizon analytics.

7. Data & Privacy

You remain in full control of your data.

8. Free vs Pro
